The fact that Ralph Fiennes has not yet won an Oscar for any (and every) of his performances, and that Nicolas Cage has won one for whateverthehell it was, just goes to prove that the Academy Awards are a total FARCE!
And I'm not just saying that because I worship the ground that Ralph Fiennes walks on.

SPAM!
November 10 2010
The Carnival cruise ship stranded off the coast of Mexico is limping along back to port. At least they have cold water and the toilets work. But they are running out of food. US Navy helicopters are delivering Spam, crab meat, croissants and Pop Tarts. Crab meat? SPAM??
You gotta be kidding me. Who eats Spam?!? (and crab meat? Yuck!) Who would send rescue supplies including Spam!?
Maybe it's because nobody in the Navy would eat it.
Spam!? Seriously!?

Evil Eye
While I liked the 60 minutes episode on Zenyatta, I can't help but feel that it was a bad call for the mare. Drawing attention to something amazing is said to bring out envy and thus the evil eye for that amazing something. I'd have waited until after the last race. She was still utterly incredible. The best runner ever.

Bad Person
October 11 2010
I just discovered that many qualities I hate in other people I have in myself.
It's not pretty.

The Lord is Sooo Disappointed
September 9 2010
Things are so different now from back in the days when I used to go to church. In the last 8 years there has been such a big Christian movement - and at the same time there's more racism, sexism, paranoia, fear, and outright hatred - from those who scream loudest that they are God-fearing people.
Am I missing something here? What does any of this have to do with the Bible and Christianity? Didn't Jesus preach love and peace and all that, or was that a different Jesus?
And explain how this Christian Florida pastor's proposed burning of a Koran is going to be copacetic with Jesus or what he taught? A deliberate act of hatred will prove what? That Christians are on the right track if they are capable of such great hatred?
If so, count me out.

Tea Time
September 6 2010
Don't get me wrong - just because I'm not blogging daily doesn't mean I don't have opinions which are right!
Like this one.
Some cultures have this great tradition where you show up at someone's house and you're immediately served a cup of tea or coffee before getting down to business or visiting. It's simply charming and sensible.
